Asher Fredman on the Prospects for a US-Saudi-Israel deal: President Biden would like a grand deal whereby Israel ends the war in Gaza, leaves Hamas in power and recognizes a pathway to a Palestinian state, Hamas releases some of the hostages, Saudi Arabia normalizes ties with Israel, and Biden gets a diplomatic win, quiet and lower gas prices before the elections. A true bilateral US-Saudi defense pact, without Israel, is unlikely.
