Ronen Levi (Maoz)
Ronen Levi (Maoz) is a senior diplomat and former member of the Israeli intelligence community. Until January 2024, he served as Director General of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that role, he served in field, intelligence and senior command positions in the Israel Security Agency. He also served as Director of the Middle East, Africa and Special Relations Division in Israel’s National Security Council. In these roles, Levi gained vast experience in international relations and developing ties with leaders and senior officials around the world. Levi played a central role in developing ties between Israel and countries with which Israel had no formal diplomatic relations. He served as special envoy of the Prime Minister and the National Security Advisor for special tasks, made a central contribution to the establishment of the Abraham Accords, and was responsible for the NSC’s relationships with parallel organizations around the world. Levi is a graduate of behavioral sciences, business management and economics from Ben-Gurion University, and holds an MBA from the Peres Academic Center.
