They Wrote A Fictitious Deal

Hamas on Monday announced it had accepted an Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire proposal. Israel said the terms did not meet its demands and launched a military operation in Rafah. Israeli tanks and planes attacked several areas and houses in the town overnight.

An Israeli official said the peace deal Hamas agreed to was a “softened” version of the Egyptian proposal, adding: “This would appear to be a ruse intended to make Israel look like the side refusing a deal.”
