Is there a real threat of Iran getting directly involved in this war?

Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser: Unfortunately, the Iranians feel compelled to intervene, taking significant risks in the process and putting us at risk as well. This is yet another example of how dangerous the regime in Iran truly is. I believe the goal should be to make Iran and its allies in the Middle East understand that they cannot win a war against Israel and that the price they are paying is exceedingly high. For this reason, they should cease their attempts to initiate conflicts against Israel.
